Hanuman Chalisa is a beautiful 40 verses devotional hymn written by one of the most respected poets – Sri. Thulasidas. It is believed that Hanuman Chalisa was written in the 15th century, when he was imprisoned in Akabar’s kingdom. According to Hindu history, it is said that he recited the Hanuman Chalisa for forty whole days. At the end of 40 days of chanting, an army of monkeys appeared to hamper regular life in the court of Akbar. Which eventually led to the release of Tulsidas.
